In 1979 at the age of 16, Dr. Medsker (Then known as “Chuck Musgrave”) work several shows for KRLC 1350 AM in Lewiston, ID doing stunts and exhibitions entertaining the crowds with a group of roller skating daredevils that would skate down stairs, do a variety of tricks (that were extreme for the day) including jumping over garbage cans and several people laying down on the ground! After graduating high school in 1981 he moved to Seattle and started a ground floor position doing marketing for KUBE 93 FM for a year. The airwaves went silent for him until 1998 after he completed his first CD “Rockin’ the Right Way” with his band IRON ROD. That landed him an interview and promotional play of a couple of songs on Seattle’s rock station KISW 99.9 FM.
Again the airwaves went silent until August 2015 where he and his wife Courtney interviewed with Johathan “Oogie” Richards on Might Mouth Blues NWCZ radio to promote RocknDoc Fest. A 24 hour rock concert at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA combined with the 2015 Adjustment-Manipulation Census and a Guinness Book of World Records attempt to adjust 10,000 patients in 1 day. In 2016 Dr. Medsker teamed up with Renegade Radio and his co-host Eric Wheeler and they produced “The Rockndoc Show!” These episodes were discussions on health, boundaries, ergonomics, etc. with an occasional out of the studio interview (shot live by Joe Orsillo, JoSillo Media – KIRO 7 cameraman) with famous bands and events from Ratt, Dokken, LynchMob and the LLS Firefighters Columbia Tower Stair Climb, etc. In May 2017 Rockndoc performed live in an interview on The Bridge KMIH 88.9 radio and promoted his Mercer Island Music in the Park show. Over the last couple of years Dr. Medsker has done a few voiceover commercials for the Doors tribute band “Alive She Cried” out of KZOK 102.5 FM with Danny Bonaduce and some varied businesses at WARM 106.9 FM.
